CyanConnode Highly Commended in BusinessGreen Technology Awards
CyanConnode the world leader in narrowband RF networks for Omni Internet of Things (“IoT”) communications, today announced its commendation in the category of Future City Technology of the Year at the 2016 BusinessGreen Technology Awards.
In a category which recognised cutting-edge innovations that promise to drastically boost the resource efficiency of urban environments while slashing their environmental impact, the judges felt that CyanConnode’s technologies are integral to ‘smart’ or ‘future’ city visions and deliver a wide range of environmental, social, economic, and commercial benefits.
As a finalist for the BusinessGreen Technology Awards, CyanConnode was invited to attend a lunch at the House of Commons discussing the role of green technology in climate change on Tuesday 6th December. Hosted by the All Party Parliamentary Climate Change Group the luncheon will have a particular focus on practical steps using enabling technology to lower power usage, enable reduction in energy losses and allow consumers to monitor their energy consumption.
John Cronin, Executive Chairman of CyanConnode, commented: “We are pleased to be highly commended in the Future City category. Our team continues to lead the industry and provide benefits to consumers with its innovative, clean technology and we are proud of the progress we have made within emerging markets over the last 2 years and optimistic about the future of smart metering in both developed and fast-growing economies.
“We look forward to speaking with the APPCCG and WIPO regarding practical solutions to Climate Change and have worked with many organisations and governments internationally to offer advice and guidance on reducing energy consumption and providing improved monitoring and control for utilities and consumers alike. ”
