CyanConnode Contributes to Energy Sector Synergy

CyanConnode, the world leader in narrowband RF mesh networks for Omni Internet of Things (IoT) communications, announces that it has attended a Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) event held in Sweden and Finland on the 1st-5th November 2016, focussing on the bilateral expansion of energy cooperation and building synergies between industry, academia and R&D institutions between the energy sectors in India, Sweden and Finland.

Members of the CyanConnode team were invited through the India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF) to a meeting with Indian Minister of State (I/C) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy and Mining, Piyush Goyal, where he discussed his vision to make India 100 percent smart in the next 5-6 years.

Vikas Kashyap, VP India for CyanConnode commented: “We were pleased to meet Mr Goyal and share our experiences and expertise with him. CyanConnode works in both Sweden and India and we feel it important to highlight how technologies can work across a variety of environments and within the cost and power parameters of different markets worldwide.

Mr Goyal has asserted that the smart city concept should be practical, doable and affordable. CyanConnode has deployed practical solutions with CESC, Tata Power and PVVNL in India that are already delivering customer value. The company’s solutions have been developed at a specific price point for emerging markets and hardware components are manufactured in India, reinforcing Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.

The minister has recently made similar visits to Japan, Australia, US and Singapore.
