In November 2015, CyanConnode won the ‘Smart Metering, ICT and Data Management Award’ for its CyLec Connect retrofit smart metering solution.

Judges praised the originality, practicality and sustainability of CyanConnode’s solution that enables smart metering functionality to legacy meters to accelerate the rollout of smart grids without having to ‘rip and replace’ the installed meters.

The awards were presented at European Utility Week, held in Vienna over 3 days, which brings together 10,000 smart energy professionals from around the world. These experts share insights on how the energy sector can move forward, where innovation is needed and also the role of the policy maker and new market entrant in establishing a cleaner future.
