Previous positions and key achievements

Gautam joins CyanConnode from Tech Mahindra, a $4Bn revenue multi-national provider, where he held the position of Head of Competency – Utilities leading its Utilities Centre of Excellence Team, which provides industry knowledge in digital utilities, smart grids, utility operations, metering, billing and CRM.

Gautam successfully led the implementations of several global projects in the utility sector.

As an electrical engineer, Gautam started his career at Secure Meters Limited, working in a number of roles responsible for service design and project engineering. During his time at Secure, Gautam was responsible for the delivery of several metering deployments for Indian utilities

After leaving Secure in 2010, Gautam joined HCL Infosystems as a project director responsible for IT implementation and system integration projects for power utilities.

How is Gautam’s previous experience relevant to his role at CyanConnode?

Gautam has extensive experience in program design and the management of large Enterprise software applications, from integration through to deployment. With a number of existing contracts to be implemented, including the CyanConnode’s first deployment of its IPv6 standards-based Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solution for Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd, Gautam has the broad industry knowledge as well as cross-functional skills (system integration and operations) to deliver end-to-end networking solutions and high-performance applications, enabling enhanced customer service, improved business efficiency and energy savings.

 Why did Gautam join CyanConnode?

During his career Gautam has worked on a number of Automated Meter Reading (AMR) projects using different communication technologies (PSTN, PLC and RF). Having seen the successful adoption of CyanConnode’s RF mesh network in India and the company’s market leading position, Gautam felt he had the industry knowledge and appropriate skills to scale the company’s delivery capabilities as India evolves into the largest global smart metering market over the next few years.

Gautams’s top 3 priorities on joining CyanConnode

1. To lead CyanConnode’s delivery team, ensuring the efficient implementation of existing customer contracts through its partners. This is key to maintaining our leadership position in India and will provide scope for larger follow on orders.
2. In collaboration with CyanConnode’s engineering team, build on the Company’s established reputation for market leading solutions and support through demonstrating core competencies; innovation, system integration and network management.
3. To ensure that CyanConnode has robust delivery processes to support deployment of existing customer contacts as well as further contract wins as the US$84M pipeline is converted.
